Welcome to the website of the Frederick County Retired School Personnel Association (FCRSPA). FCRSPA is a non-profit organization comprised of teachers, counselors, bus drivers, administrators, secretaries, cafeteria workers and all those who retired after years of work supporting the students of Frederick County, Maryland. FCRSPA is affiliated with the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association (MRSPA) and the National Retired Teachers' Association (NRTA): AARP's Educator Community. The primary goal of FCRSPA is the welfare of retired school personnel. We further this goal through support for, and initiation of, legislation on the local, state, and federal level that will benefit retirees, by keeping members informed of our efforts and their existing benefits, and by providing social events where members can gather in fellowship with former colleagues and friends and can make new connections.

FCRSPA membership meetings are held in the form of luncheons (and a holiday breakfast) where members are provided with updates on important issues and speakers present topics of interest. In months with no meetings, we hold social gatherings ("Happy Hours") at locations throughout the county to promote solidarity and goodwill. The Board of Directors meets four times per year to conduct the business of the association as well as to plan the luncheons and social gatherings. A quarterly newsletter also helps to keep our members informed on current and upcoming events and important information.

As an organization, we are evolving to reflect the goals and aspirations of a more contemporary society. Through our shared values, we promote an environment where all retirees feel included, respected, and appreciated. Membership retention and recruiting are critical elements for the success of our organization.
